Scott Blanks is well known to theatre audiences throughout the Midlands as an actor and director. Scott recently directed this season's smash hit musical Ragtime. Other local directing credits include Deathtrap, 1940's Radio Hour, and Monkey Business at Workshop Theatre; Postmortem at Town Theatre; Dinner With Friends, Hello Dolly, and the hit comedy Run For Your Wife at Chapin Community Theatre; Jesus Christ Superstar, A Soldier's Play, and The Meeting at Benedict College. As an actor, local audiences will best remember him for his roles in La Cage Aux Follies, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and Chicago at Workshop Theatre and the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Trustus. Scott is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Benedict College and serves on the Boards of the South Carolina Arts Alliance and Workshop Theatre.
